How Secret Santa works

Everyone secretly shops for one person, then comes together for a thoughtful surprise.

1. 1
   Join the exchange

Open the host’s private invitation, sign in, and join the guest list.

2. 2
   Share your GiftTrait

Complete your Gift Profile and add Gift List ideas so your Secret Santa has helpful inspiration.

3. 3
   Receive one private match

After everyone joins, the host draws names and each participant privately receives one person to shop for.

4. 4
   Choose a thoughtful gift

Use your recipient’s traits and Gift List for inspiration, and stay at or below the exchange’s maximum price.

5. 5
   Keep the secret

Do not reveal your assigned person or selected gift before the celebration.

6. 6
   Enjoy the reveal

Exchange gifts together in the same room or join the synchronized virtual reveal.
